cliff was the best bassist, no question. i do like trujillo a lot more than newstead though. trujillo is more similar to cliff and he has more of a sense of humor. i was never a fan of jason, though i appreciate what he did for the band.

I think this Unforgiven is brilliant... and other unforgivwens are for people who listen to every thing that is called "song". for example second and third Unforgiven can bge also for people listening to Kate Perry etc. And this firstm Unforgiven should be in Slovak radios. I love this fucking song, no doubt one of Metallica's masterpieces, however I do love all three Unforgivens in their own way. Number one is just perfect. Unforgiven II competes with Fuel for the best song off ReLoad. While Unforgiven III showed they still got it.

I love this cover. People are supposed to judge this song by itself, not comparing it to Bob Seeger's version. They are two different views. I love this cover because it shows reality at it's best. They fail to acknowledge the fact that they were extremely successful by making their first 4 albums pure thrash metal. They had already gained a large fanbase and they knew this. Fuck no. If Metallica screw up, they screw up. You are not helping their music by saying "no matter what they make, I'll like it, even if it is trash". ReLoad, apart from Fuel and this song (and possibly Unforgiven II); is a piece of crap album. And no one will change that. Not even Metallica's blood-sworn fans.
