We'll be rotting worse under Anwar with IMF or World Bank anyway! If people can get up and demonstrate for Anwar, why can't they demonstrate mainly against corruption within UMNO and BN without being distracted by Anwar and a shady opposition movement? This movement lacks concept and substance in itself since the parties allied within are opposed in ideology among themselves. Their voice only derives meaning from BN and UMNO's weaknesses. Clean up BN & co. and BA will falter and fail.

so u just keep rotting under UMNO and BN? and do nothing about that
By: HPUgrad1. on 19 Sep 08, 05:59:20
UMNO is a very poor choice. Don't let your insecurities shake your confidence about Anwar and confuse American imperialism with this situation. America is not interested in this small country. Give Anwar a chance. If it doesn't work kick him out. I am sure UMNO will still be around- pretty thick skinned people.

The international (Corporate) media that is pro-Anwar is evidence for the global take-over movement now coming to Malaysia. Malaysians must solve their internal problems without external intervention. Surely we can show the world it is possible??
By: sishrac. on 14 Sep 08, 11:57:05
Malaysians, Do watch 'The Panama Deception (1992) on Google video to get a sense of what Malaysians will be receiving as a consequence of pro-American politicians at the helm. American democracy equals international corruption, Drug trade and loss of national sovereignty. One day the world will be reading about the Malaysian deception (2008)! If you thought UMNO and BN are bad, wait and see what Anwar has in store for Malaysia.

Garubolas Did you escape from Tanjung Rambutan? What medication did they put you on? Anti-China pill? Don't forget to fight the Klignons from UrAnus too! You need an education to find solutions ;)
By: Garubolas. on 29 May 08, 08:27:59
I dont see any solution in the near future. Sanwiched between UMNO and chinaman's greed, assaulted by the notion of PAS' islamic taliban state, the ordinary bumi is pretty much screwed. We are caught between a rock and a hard place. Kesian sungguh nasib melayu.

NEP's intentions were good but instead of creating a fairer system and moving towards meritocracy, it did the opposite: Lazy got bribes and Stupid were promoted (even CEOs). How do you motivate people? Make things easier or give people challenges? What example is the Gov setting especially for the younger generation?

Bumiputra or Bumiputera: Malay, also known as Pribumi in Indonesian, from Sanskrit Bhumiputra; translated literally, it means "earth son" (bhumi= earth, putra=son) or son of the soil. Bumiputra is a political term widely used in Malaysia, embracing ethnic Malays and occasionally other indigenous ethnic groups such as the Orang Asli in Peninsular Malaysia and the tribal peoples in Sabah and Sarawak.

No disrespect to your father but the truth is, civil servants are puppets to the rulling party. A nice example was highlighted in Selangor's SUK where the govt officers were shredding official documents. I think civil servants should not be political and remember that they serve the govt not party. I think what DAP's LKSiang was trying to say is that most govt dept have high level of discrimination. Govt servants should be impartial as far as politics is concerned.

I am chinese, I am also support AL Jazeera now. Well done, bravo, bravo..
By: HPUgrad1. on 10 Mar 08, 17:27:21
AlJazeera is a blessing to the Malaysian people. BN is so out of touch and a lot of the Media (STAR) is controlled by them. Many Malays now sympathize with the hardworking poor Chinese & Indians. Badawi is surrounded by the wrong people and should start associating himself with winners in the new political situation. Both Badawi and Anwar have valid points...come to a compromise and everyone wins!

I was a volunteer observer at a former gen election voling station in PJ. We placed 3 ballot boxes into the van at the end of the day and followed the van to the collection center. At the center, 5 boxes were removed..... But we were too gutless and young to say anything. Wish I could go back to that day. Wish I had made a police report, I wish I wish I wish...., BUT AT LEAST I VOTED DECISIVELY THIS TIME...
By: CapsLock158. on 09 Mar 08, 03:25:41
The goverment has long fingers- alot of poeple who did not vote have had their votes cast for them (how?) The Malaysian Army personel have their votes cast for BN even if they don't vote themselves-(my uncle, a general with the army has confirmed this) Why did the goverment not allow international media to monitor the the voting process? Why supress the media?

Thanks to Al-Jazeera for providing full coverage of truth in Malaysia political scene. In Malaysia, the media is dominated by the Government. They only report the news which favor the Government & spread faulty news. Keep up the good works to spread the truth to Malaysians.
