I agree with you there... the height is a bit of an issue but I have gone off-road where you would really only go with a Landcruiser or the like and I made it out the other side lol! A very good 4WD with a lot of potential I must say :)

Honda is not in the toilet, they just had two record months in a row even with the economy being so soft. Chrysler is about to go bankrupt and I would never own a vehicle from a company that has laid off as many workers as Chrysler. They are shutting down plants, idling plants, and still not producing a competitive product. Take the Sebring for example, they are ALREADY working on a redesign since it was such a bad attempt. Chrysler is hands down the worse American automobile manufacturer.

CR-Vs are proven, and immediately received unanimous praise when it was released in 1997. Since the Patriot is based off of the Caliber, which is a miserable vehicle, the Patriot will suffer the same fate as the Caliber which is poor sales, awful reliability, and abysmal resale value. Do not even get me started on interior quality. To everyone considering a Patriot, check the reliability data from CR and the reviews from numerous other magazines. You are better off w/ a used CR-V or RAV4.

Man!!! The New Dodge Pussy. Can't these dickheads learn anything. People bought the Demon in the 70's because it looked cool and could be a great muscle car. This piece of shit looks like it came out of Japan. Shelby updated the Cobra and it is huge accomplishment from the original. This shit-box looks like a Chicks car. Shelby most probably had artistic licence, this is a product of a committee. It has no reference to the original other that its name!!!!!

This car is great, it has a mixed look of a Audi//BMW in the back, a Viper type look in the front and a S2000 over all body style shape. Best of many car worlds.

If the car was produced there is plenty of talk of making a SRT 4 variant. Imagine that turbo pushing only 2500 lbs! 0-60 times would be amazing for a 4 cylinder. Add a hard top kit and I'm sold, all for under $20,000. Mini Viper anybody? Hope and pray dodge makes this car.

I agree with the whole trunk bit. Sure a roadster's primary objective isn't to haul cargo, however asking for a small boot isn't a lot to ask for. As for your S2k comment, I normally am a proponent to visually appealing interiors, more than most, but I have to say that the S2000's functional layout and harking to the classic, no-nonsense, spartan interior makes more sense in that car than a luxurious one. Also, the S2k's driving dynamics overshadow any visual shortcomings in my opionion.

It'll better have a trunk. I know two people who ditched their Solstices and got an MX-5 because they just couldn't function without a trunk (and they just have had to have a roadster). OK, in both cases it was their only car. Other: The dash just sucks. It could nix my interest, that's what killed the S2000 for me, if I have to look the darn thing all the time while I'm inside the car, it better look good.

I actually HAVE a Miata, and was looking at the 350Z coupe to buy. (Likely will go with the Infiniti g35 though). Sorry, but I don't see your claim for either car. Actually, if you'd know your cars a little better, you'd make the claim that it has the tail/back of an Audi TT, that's about the closest. If they make this car indeed for $3to 4K less than the MX-5/Miata they're likely to sell plenty of them, a small urban use fuel efficient (and fun) car is likely to do well with $4/gal gas.
