THe way you hold the gun when removing the slide is wrong. That's the reason why it's harder for you to remove it.

I was going to get a 19, but I shot the 23 and fell in love with it. Besides, I heard that you can always just get a g19 mag and barrel and drop them into a 23 and it will shoot fine

does anyone know if its different for older model glock 23s because the platic piece that goes into the recoil spriing is not capable of portruding through the front under the barrel. the flat end of the plastic piece in the recoil spring is too wide for the whole directly under the barrel

don't want to sound like a know it all but when you close the chamber of the gun, you should never ride the slide with your hand. always just pull and let go. The gun is seriously made to be treated like a whore.

I notice many ppl have their own way of removing the slide assembly, personally I find them all difficult to do lol. well except the standard method. I find it quite fast easy to manipulate.
