A couple of things Chad: 1) Blacks (like me) did vote for Obama, but race was not all of it. No matter who the Democratic candidate would have been, blacks would have voted for him/her 90+%. 2) Understand America's history. Blacks are not necessarily showing racism, but pride in that our country's racial wounds may be healing. And not all whites are racist. Duh. I don't criticize Matthews for having brought up the point at issue here. I don't think his assessment is totally wrong. But one thing I think he does need to step back from his is absolutism. He reduces extremely complex issues into these absolute facts that are less than completely accurate. Still, I'm usually a fan of the guy. He usually has something interesting to say.
