mea culpa, my fault. obviously i was a bit too sure about my pink floyd knowledge ;)
By: rmaiolo. on 20 Nov 08, 00:06:07
wow..terrific audio!

I'm not at all wanting to start an argument, but Snowy White, an extra musician on the tour, played bass on Sheep and Pigs. Roger actually came up with the rhythm guitar parts for those songs (Whether the more talented Gilmour actually recorded all the guitars on the album is debatable.)

you probably confused the names because i don't think roger ever played a strat on a live gig. he's the bass player so he rather used a (p-) bass.

this is history, wish it was filmed as good as it could have been.

Dude your way off, the Final Cut was an album dedicated to Roger's dead father who was killed in wwII. That was a Roger waters brainchild all the way. Gilmour reluctantly played on it though.
By: mss11235. on 21 Oct 08, 19:04:04
This video isn't actually for the music being played. I have the audio bootleg. It is Animal Instincts... the show in Oakland. Also, on the tour, Roger played a Strat for all Animals pieces except Dogs and PotW 1 and 2. The audio doesn't sync up with the playing either. Just some video thrown on top of excellently recorded Oakland show.

Long life to Roger Waters...Mr.Pink Floyd
By: sissokki. on 16 Oct 08, 10:42:54
As a matter of fact "The Final Cut" is totally written by David Gilmour...Just like "amused to death".I want remember you that Momentary lapse of reason is the collaboration of more than 40 musicians, including D.Gilmour.Waters is the best songwriter of history...Dave gilmour is just a guitarist,he dosen't know written songs.
By: sushantupadhyay. on 16 Oct 08, 10:08:13
only lyrically sir. Roger always had the ideas but the execution and the 'Pink Floyd sound' was beyond him without gilmour and wright. Just how good a musician roger was, is known to everybody( including you). He couldn't possibly have written '100%' of the music, you know !!
By: juanjcfree. on 13 Oct 08, 00:17:11
David and Richard are pink floyd, Richard Wright(RIP) was the sound of pink floyd with that amazing keyboard, piano, sinthetizer and effects!
By: Chariot73. on 07 Oct 08, 00:27:02
yeha man almost all of this abum music and lyrics was wirtten by roger
By: priestofodin. on 05 Oct 08, 13:08:03
I'm not sure that is entirely accurate. I've heard interviews with both men and read about the making of the album. Gilmour was the prime musical force and Waters wrote most of the lyrics. "Dogs" was an old Gilmour song called "you've gotta be crazy" that already had some lyrics to it.
By: gsxrkz. on 03 Oct 08, 21:54:33
your dreaming most of the music was David with out David pink Floyd would have all most been a forgotten band, oh I guess Roger came up with those guitar riffs go fly a kit on the freeway buddy
By: sissokki. on 03 Oct 08, 21:19:12
Sorry for you,but this record is 100% a Roger's job.Music and lyrics.without Roger David was lost.Pink Floyd is Roger Waters
By: luizmanoel. on 30 Sep 08, 13:49:06
David Gilmour arrebentando na stratoooo, puro solo com distorçõessssssssssssssssssssssssss ampliadassssssssssssssssss
By: gsxrkz. on 28 Sep 08, 16:11:11
David was responsible for most of the music and Roger for the lyrics, I heard Roger talking about it in a interview one with out the other you would not have Pink Floyd the way we know it today both equally amazing
By: ericponsv. on 28 Sep 08, 14:31:01
Roger wrote both

This is some amazing live audio! I've always been more of a gilmour fan but lately I've been obsessed with everything Roger. Roger is such a creative genius. I hope he continues to tour.
