As to all who had a comment and reaction why had the anime and manga endings are different. Although I haven't read the manga however, I know that both the anime and manga have diff. endings because the manga who made it may have a request not to have same conflict, plot and ending. Fortunately, they still relate to the stories point.

I love how it ended. Onizuka's job was to straighten up class 4-3. And he did it at the very end. Everyone in the class gave their hearts and trust into him. I really love the end. I really liked how anko and yoshikawa fell in love
