Homeless American Idol Posted by: donnymiller
Video duration: 139 seconds I taped this man in Downtown Los Angeles a while back. I've been back to see if he's still around, but I never saw him again. Anyway, his voice is incredible and to be there was even better. I think, personally, he has just as much talent if not more than any singer out today. And soul, don't even get me started. Please enjoy. Display Video Comments | Hide Video Comments | Add Comment |

Very crafty. I particularly liked the part about mopping the floor with Congress - you hear that, Lamar?

xfistsclenchedx: If they wanted to make their point I think they have should done it nearby some oil refineries or something. Yeah, just think of all the people that walk and drive by oil refineries who will see it. Wait a second... dkraft: Your local McDonalds rapes you for higher profits than your gasoline. Seriously. I didn't realize the global economy ran on McDonalds. Did McDonalds also get a $14.3 billion American tax-payer funded subsidy like the energy companies did?

this was meant as a rely to dkraft.
By: z028943. on 23 Sep 08, 15:56:49
are you a lobbyist for the oil companies? People don't need to buy McDonald's to get work. That is to say, there is an easy alternative to McDonald's. You could have skipped insulting your audience and simply typed "Use more oil."
By: ares213. on 23 Sep 08, 09:12:01
Wow, that's some cheap gas. When was this filmed?
By: dkraft. on 23 Sep 08, 08:39:34
Shoot the messenger you morons. Your local McDonalds rapes you for higher profits than your gasoline. Seriously. I regret that your high school math failed you. Quit Smoking and enjoy 50% more gasoline money.
By: ricecaker. on 23 Sep 08, 08:01:54
Putting up posters like this is a form of protest to raise awareness. We need more people like this. The owners of gas stations are supporting the oil companies by running franchises and are by no means innocent. The losses of the franchisees may take is negligible compared to the statement the posters represent.
By: sk8mike. on 22 Sep 08, 20:55:40
I like it, but the government is screwing us harder than the oil companies. After all the government/politicians/bureaucrats/lobbyists all have a big hand in the energy prices that were forced to pay. The oil companies are just a convenient scapegoat, for the politicians.
By: xfistsclenchedx. on 22 Sep 08, 20:24:37
I didn't miss the point. I'm just saying that putting signs at local gas stations I think would really just damage the business of the local gas stations which are just trying to get by. If they wanted to make their point I think they have should done it nearby some oil refineries or something
By: mcalien24. on 22 Sep 08, 19:36:45
how many people drive by or up to any of these oil companies headquarters? I see your point, but i think it makes the message more accessible.
By: billstyle. on 22 Sep 08, 19:36:22
You're a fucking idiot.
By: WarrenNesteruk. on 22 Sep 08, 19:25:14
Good job, you hurt an individuals gas station who is trying to make a living and has no say whatsoever on gas prices. Damn, you really showed those oil companies... but its okay. its "art".
By: mrburningone. on 22 Sep 08, 18:52:26
You obviously missed the actual point of the sign protest. It has nothing to do with the gas stations themselves, but rather more with the oil giants they represent. Though I do agree that putting up these signs, even as a form of free speech, is illegal and doesn't really change anything and so therefore was a waste of time and energy. Would have done much better if they just used signs outside the gas stations to picket and forward the concept.
